Pre-K Here We Come!

The inevitable day has finally come and gone...Hayden's 1st Day of Pre-K!

We have been awaiting this day for AWHILE! At first Hayden was SO EXCITED as we prepared by buying his school supplies, the backpack, his uniforms, and "THE SHOES" Then it was time to Meet the Teacher, which he was a little apprehensive about (especially when we got there and there was SO MANY bigger kids than him) Then it was TIME! Time for the 1st DAY!!! He was NOT digging this AT ALL!!! He did not want to go and be away from mommy and Callin, away from his toys, away from his home. The whole 45 minute drive (yes people, the 1st day took me 45 minutes of agonizing traffic driving to get there!) He said, "I just don't want to go to school mommy! I will miss you and Callin way too much!" Every 2 minutes he repeated this to me!!! I was so worried that once we got inside that he was going to scream bloody murder and cling to me and not let me go. Much to my surprise he went right in, hung up his backpack, found his name tag, let me help him put it on, gave callin a BIG hug, me a little pat on the back and said goodbye! YAY Hayden!!! I am SO PROUD of him! And that's that. My little boy is not so little anymore. Big sigh!

One last wave goodbye to daddy
